Plain City diamond standouts


Jacob Warden, left, and Evan Martin, both of Plain City, are both heading into their freshman year at Jonathan Alder High School and each played for the 14U Ohio Sharks this summer. They played in the Prestigious Ripken Tournament at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina the week of July 4. The team played in the championship game (21 teams) and came away with tournament rings and were named to the 14U All-Tournament team. The Sharks played teams from Chicago, Buffalo, Fayetteville, Ga., Napierville, Ill., Oakland, Mich., Atlanta and Sheridan, Mich.
