Tolles hosting Community Open House Sept. 22

Tolles Career & Technical Center providing a launchpad for both high school students and adult learners, will open its doors to the community from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22. The event is free and open to the public at 7877 U.S. Route 42 South, Plain City.

The district will not only put their high school programs and adult education opportunities on display, but visitors will also be able to tour the vast 223,000 square-foot facility, which boasts instructional and functional labs, academic classrooms, an auditorium and conference center, as well as a fully-operational restaurant, hair and nail salon and spa, small animal care facility, automotive repair and maintenance center, digital media lab, community preschool, medical and fire labs, and many other career spaces.

Special highlights of the event include:

• A special college and career readiness workshop from 6 to 6:30 p.m. for parents and students in sixth through eighth grades to help ensure they are prepared for high school, college and the workforce.

• A question and answer session from 7 to 7:30 p.m. for current Tolles families to learn more about the Madison County Workforce Readiness Credential available for students to earn while at Tolles.

• The Salon at Tolles will be open for services from cosmetology seniors. Appointments can be made for that evening by contacting or by calling 614-873-4666, ext. 1103.

• Appetizers will be available from our award-winning culinary arts programs.

• Career-tech labs, academic classrooms, and adult education opportunities can be explored throughout the evening.
