MARYSVILLE — Memorial Health Chief Financial Officer Jeff Ehlers has received a C-Suite Award from Columbus Business First, and will be honored with other Central Ohio executives at a prestigious event this fall.

Honorees were selected for their leadership and contributions toward the financial success of their company or organization, how they overcome business challenges, and their role in growth and profitability.

Ehlers’ transformational work at Memorial includes the implementation of financial controls, evaluations and initiatives to improve productivity, and best-in-class revenue cycle results. Under his leadership, Memorial has been the recipient of the Auditor of State Award each of the last four years.

Ehlers’ strong commitment to the community as a resident for more than 22 years includes currently serving for nearly four years on the board of the Union County Chamber of Commerce, and previously serving for nine years on the Board of the Union County Family YMCA. He has served as the treasurer of both organizations.

“Since Jeff came to Memorial Hospital in 1997, he has been one of the foundations of our organization,” said Chip Hubbs, president and CEO of Memorial Health.

“During this time, Memorial has nearly tripled in size and achieved some of its strongest operating results in our sixty-plus year history. Jeff is a great team member, a better person, and certainly very deserving of this recognition. We are very fortunate to have him on our team.”

The departments he supervises include: Accounting, billing, reimbursement, medical records, registration, central scheduling and materials. He also oversees the clinical departments of laboratory and home health services. In 2014, he was named on a national list of “150 Hospital and Health System CFOs to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review, a leading source of industry information.

The C-Suite Awards event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 10 at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus.

Memorial Health is an independent health system based in Marysville, which includes Memorial Hospital’s main campus and satellite outpatient locations including Memorial City Gate Medical Center; Memorial Gables — a skilled nursing facility; Memorial Medical Group — a network of more than 20 physicians and mid-level providers with office locations throughout Marysville, Plain City, and Urbana; and the Memorial Health Foundation.
