The Plain City Public Library offers programs for all ages.
• Create your own fairy garden with help from the Madison County Master Gardeners at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21. Create your own fairy garden from scratch and make accessories out of clay and other found objects. For ages 8-14. Thanks to the Madison County Master Gardeners and the Friends of the Plain City Public Library there is no cost for this program. Registration is required.
• Attend a special chalk art demo at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22. Learn techniques for creating your own sidewalk art at this chalk drawing demonstration led by local artist Hilary Frambes. A great way to prepare for Chalk on the Walk. No registration required.
• Claim your piece of the sidewalk as the library wraps up the Summer Reading Program with their annual Chalk on the Walk art competition from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 25. Prizes will be awarded in various age groups, from preschool through adult. Also eat a free picnic lunch. No pre-registration is required. Participants will receive a block of sidewalk on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Stay up-to-date with library news and events by following the library online. The library’s Facebook and Pinterest pages are updated weekly with photos, news, events and program information.
