The Richwood Garden Club met at the Richwood park. Six members were present for a potluck lunch. Members made seed packets to fill and give away at Richwood Appreciation Day on Sept. 1.
Leftover seed packets were given away at the Heifer Festival on Sept. 24.
The next meeting of the Richwood Garden Club will be held at the home of Linda Forrider at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4. The ladies are asked to bring supplies to make harvest decorations, such as pumpkins, and materials to make scarecrows.
This is the last meeting before members sort Christmas decorations for the Trees for Troops project. Those who have any decorations to donate may drop them off at the Jerome Township fire station near Plain City, the Gazette or library in Richwood, the YMCA in either Marysville or Marion.
“Thank for your help to provide live Christmas trees complete with all items needed for decorating it for our military families or soldiers around the world,” a spokesperson said.
