DELAWARE — Ohio Wesleyan University honored its outstanding 2016-2017 student-athletes at the 13th annual Dale J. Bruce Scholar-Athlete Awards Dinner.
The celebration, held April 20, recognized Battling Bishop athletes from Ohio Wesleyan’s 23 varsity sports for their academic and athletic successes.
Students earning awards included:
Ashley Day of Plain City earned the Top Fifty Academic Award. Day competed in Battling Bishop Softball.
Mallory McCormick of Plain City earned the Top Fifty Academic Award. McCormick competed in Battling Bishop Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field.
Ohio Wesleyan is part of Division III of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC).
