Staff report

Tolles Career and Technical Center will host sophomores from its seven associate school districts interested in attending for the 2018-2019 school year during Sophomore Visit Days. These visits are scheduled for Monday, Nov. 20 and Tuesday, Nov. 21. Tolles will open up its career-tech labs and its online application system exclusively for sophomores and their families on Dec. 7 during Open House and First Chance Application Night from 5-7:30 p.m.

“Career-technical education offers an advantage to all students preparing for both college and career. Sophomores and their families should take note of our upcoming admission events and further explore their options during our Open House,” said Shea Havens-White, admissions coordinator.

This event gives students the chance to explore two programs of interest at the Tolles campus. On Nov. 20, the career-technical school will host all Hilliard City Schools’ sophomores from Bradley, Davidson, and Darby high schools. On Nov. 21, the school will host sophomores from Dublin Coffman, Dublin Jerome, Dublin Scioto, Fairbanks, Jonathan Alder, London, Madison-Plains, and West Jefferson.

Following the visit, sophomores and their families can visit career-technical labs and can apply to Tolles during Open House and First Chance Application Night on Dec. 7 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Plain City campus. This exclusive event gives students and/or their families the chance to access the online application before it goes live on the website for all at midnight Dec. 8.

“We only have 25 spots available per program for new students, so it is important that students apply as soon as possible to improve their chances of getting into their program of choice,” Havens-White offered.

For families and students who wish to take a more personalized tour, Tolles will host Campus Group Tours on Nov. 30, Dec. 7, Jan. 18, Feb. 8 and March 15. Reservations for a tour are required and space is limited. Visit TollesTech.com/Admissions to sign up for a Campus Group Tour or contact 614-873-4666, ext. 4414.

Tolles accepts applications on a rolling basis for the 2018-2019 school starting Dec. 7 at Open House and First Chance Application Night, however, it is highly encouraged that students complete an application before the priority application deadline of Jan. 21.
