Tolles’ future health professionals, part of HOSA, a career-technical student organization, will host their annual HOSA Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29 at 7877 U.S. Route 42 S., Plain City.
The event is free and open to the public.
“The goal of the HOSA Health Fair is to have students provide nearly 60 interactive displays on topics related to health and wellness, exercise, medication usage, nutrition and animal health,” stated Karen Rossetter, instructor of the Tolles Sports & Fitness program. “It provides a hands-on learning experience for the students and gives them an opportunity to interact with the public on a more personal level while providing screenings and services.”
Various health screenings are available to the public including blood pressure, vision, hearing and fitness. There will also be free blood sugar testing. Various live animals will also be on display as part of the Pre-Vet program.
HOSA is a national student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of ACTE. HOSA’s two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the healthcare industry and to enhance the delivery of quality healthcare to all people.
