Tolles Career & Technical Center has announced the top eight finalists for its annual Senior Interview Contest. The Senior Interview Contest is a school-wide event that takes place over the course of several weeks.
Seniors from each career-technical program work on their skills with instructors and interview with business and industry professionals. Judges select one winner to represent all career-technical programs.
The top eight finalists out of that pool advance to a final round of professional interviews with Superintendent Kim Wilson, as well as business leaders that include HR personnel, CEOs, and more.
The event is coordinated by Tolles Career & Technical Career Connections Coordinator Beth Fogelsong. The top three will be announced during the Dec. 15 Board of Education meeting.
The top finalists include: Kacie Karner, engineering and manufacturing, Madison-Plains; Katey Dickey, pre-nursing, Hilliard Darby; Tori Pfaff, digital medial production, Hilliard Darby; Shandon Feldick, computer networking and support, Hilliard Davidson; Breanna Holder, marketing and logistics, West Jefferson; Tamara Vega, art design and communications, Hilliard Bradley; Casey Swaggerty, firefighting/EMS, Madison-Plains; and Callie Caoua, pre-vet, Hilliard Davidson.
Individual program winners included from West Jefferson, Marcus Harvey, auto collision repair, and Braedon Drummond, welding and fabrication; from Madison-Plains, Wade Sizemore, auto tech; from Jonathan Alder, Emma Hawkins, cosmetology; from London Academy, Amber Simone, construction technologies; from Hilliard Davidson, Moriah Howard, animal management and services; from Hilliard Darby, Keely Crothers, culinary arts, and Max Schneck, interactive media; from Hilliard Bradley, Brandon Adair, criminal justice, Crystal Coleman, early childhood education, Victoria Dailey, pharmacy, Andrew Bennett, power sports, and auto services, Myiah Kelley, sports and fitness.
