Plain City doctor John E. Adams II, DO has been selected by Columbus Business First as a 2016 Champion of Health Care Honoree in the Physician category.
He accepted the award at the Champions of Health Care Awards Luncheon on Thursday, July 14 in Columbus.
He was selected from a large group of physicians who were nominated based on their expertise, exceptional dedication to the health and well-being of their patients, and their impact on their community.
“Dr. Adams exemplifies the type of physician we seek, one who combines excellent professional skills with a caring personality that fits in with our values,” stated Spence Fisher, Executive Vice President of Memorial Health and President of Memorial Medical Group.
“He is a shining example of a Memorial medical staff member who constantly reaches out to seek opportunities to use his medical and leadership skills to benefit others.”
A physician in osteopathic general practice at Memorial Family Medicine | Plain City, Dr. Adams is also skilled in treating injuries and issues related to sports medicine.
He has served as team physician for Jonathan Alder Schools athletics, volunteers as medical director and physician provider at the Plain City Free Clinic, and mentors and trains medical students. He also serves as medical director at Edgewater Place Assisted Living, where he is known for treating geriatric and other patients with compassion.
During his 30-year medical career, he has made time to serve on school boards, a community support coalition, and an education foundation. Dr. Adams is known as a humble provider who still makes house calls to his patients who are unable to travel to his office in Plain City.
